Apart from a 10 year lay-off due to bad eyesight, photography - and to a lesser degree graphic design - have always been my passions. Whilst I have never formally worked as a professional photographer or designer, I have been involved in school, PR, medical/dental, portrait photography, pack shot photography for an international toothpaste manufacturer, event photography, reportage photography with Army Public Relations and more recently photography and graphic design has been combined in a poster campaign and the production of three books.
My photographic knowledge is largely thanks to an ex staff photographer of Soldier Magazine, the house journal of the British Army. Paul RG Haley took the time and trouble to teach me so much, and over the years Paul and I have remained in contact and become firm friends. Paul is now running photographic courses outside Naples, Italy, and if you need to learn any aspect of photography at any level, then he is the guy to teach you.
